A Non-Profit Transforming Waste into Resources Menu

WasteCap is Participating in Re_Purposeful!

WasteCap is participating in Re_Purposeful! As an initiative from the education non-profit, Non-Toxic Environments, Re_Purposeful focuses on collecting materials from interior design offices that were traditionally landfilled. These include: glass, tile, stone and carpet samples. Once collected, these items are distributed freely to teachers, non-profits, artists and crafters.

WasteCap will serve as a drop off point where designers can donate materials.

WasteCap will have a POD available for material drop off during the following times:

Thursday: 10 AM - 6 PM

Friday: 10 AM - 5 PM

Saturday: 10 AM - 4 PM

Acceptable donation items include:

  • Carpet samples or tiles
  • Fabric samples or books
  • Glass samples
  • Tile samples
  • Stone samples
  • Metal samples
  • Wood and bamboo samples
  • Laminate samples

Donation Drop Off

To drop off materials, stop into the WasteCap Salvage Warehouse and ask one of the staff members to unlock the POD during drop off hours. Designers will be asked for a few key pieces of information regarding the materials. All items should be donated in boxes that do not need to be returned.

Giving Back

Once the collection period has ended, Re_Purposeful will collect the POD and sort through the materials. The actual Re_Purposeful event where teachers, crafters and the general public can pick up the items for free will be held on August 25th and 26th in Waukesha, WI.
