A Non-Profit Transforming Waste into Resources Menu

Green Built Home

Are you a homeowner or contractor interested in green homes? Green Built Home is a nationally-recognized green building initiative that reviews and certifies new homes, multi-family units and remodeling projects that meet sustainable building and energy standards.

Let WasteCap assist your project with the following categories: Materials Selection & Waste Reduction, Recycling and Disposal.

Scope of Work

Before a project enters the construction phase, WasteCap will ensure the desired waste reduction credits remain achievable. During the construction process, WasteCap will provide ongoing site inspections and product review before final documentation is ready for submission.

Construction Plan Generation

WasteCap's diversion experts will review your targets and objectives, inform you of potential blind spots, advise on successful strategies and align your approaches to give you the most impact with the least effort as part of your GBH waste management plan.

WasteCap will audit your expected waste streams, highlight any overlooked opportunities, interview your selected waste haulers and provide you with a level-headed path forward based on our extensive experience.

On-site Education

Much of a successful diversion effort is in the preparation, planning and communication of requirements. WasteCap can provide quick on-site workshops to pass on the instructions from your waste management plan in a memorable and lasting way, saving you the work required to repeatedly instruct site teams or manually separate waste that’s been incorrectly directed. Directional signage keyed to your projects separation requirements can also be provided.

Ongoing Status Tracking

Regular site and process inspections keep your team on track to meet the requirements for GBH points. WasteCap will be by your side ensuring paperwork is consistent, tracking waste quantities, inspecting operations on site and providing critical feedback to maximize your waste diversion and make the process as effortless as possible. Monthly reports will keep you informed as to progress, deficiencies and remediation possibilities while forecasting your final results.

If your project is pursuing a certification that requires specific paperwork and reporting, WasteCap will handle that process as part of the tracking effort.

Deconstruction

WasteCap built its reputation on building deconstruction. Worth 5 points towards your GBH certification, it’s certainly a route to consider. While WasteCap can advise and direct the General Contractors deconstruction team, we invite you to review our Deconstruction page as well.

Subcontracting Waste Haulers

If you’d prefer, WasteCap can handle any or all waste hauler contracts as a sub to our own contract with you. This will reduce your paperwork and on-site management for pickup requests and scheduling.
