Warehouse and Reuse Project Opportunities

Are you into salvaging? Do you create value from things many would otherwise consider waste?  If so, WasteCap needs your help transforming waste into resources!  We are deeply in need of volunteers, or transformers as we like to call them, to keep the warehouse running smoothly.

While volunteering at WasteCap you’ll learn how to reinvigorate salvaged antiques, and build reuse furniture or décor pieces while doing your part to divert materials from landfills.  Some typical warehouse projects may include cleaning and light restoration of pieces, staging new inventory, designing and building unique displays, and managing incoming materials.

The creation of an awesome door hardware display made by volunteers!

We are quite flexible and are more than happy to work with you on finding a time or schedule that works best for you!  So, if you’re looking to get your hands dirty to help preserve pieces of Milwaukee’s built history and keep material out of landfills please email Martha Cannon or call 414-961-1100.

Our organization encourages the participation of volunteers who support our vision to transform waste into resources. If you are interested in training to be a WasteCap Volunteer, please submit the following information. Your information will be kept confidential and help us to find the most satisfying and appropriate volunteer opportunity for you.

Thank you for your interest in our organization.
