On Thursday, September 14 WasteCap held their annual fundraising and membership appreciation event at The Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery. The team was grateful to see all the new and old faces that came out to support the mission of transforming waste into resources. 

The event included a silent auction, wine pull and restaurant raffle for guests to donate to. A photo booth was also featured with construction themed props. The white suit was definitely a hit!

The food was generously donated by local organizations and featured delicious sliders from Tall Guy and a Grill, chips an hummus courtesy of Riverwest Co-Op,  pizzas from Little DeMarinis Pizza, crudité cups from the Ambassador, savory guacamole, pepitas and chips gifted from Bel Air Cantina, pizzas courtesy of Ian's Pizza and delicious carrot cake and German chocolate cake bites from Zilli Hospitality Group.

All organic waste was composted using Executive Director, Travis Blomberg's personal compost.

Salvaged items were incorporated into the décor to showcase the warehouse side of WasteCap. Travis gave a recap of WasteCap's year and his vision for the environmental nonprofit as the new executive director. 

Overall, the event was a success and truly a group effort. WasteCap would like to thank all the members, donors, sponsors and attendees for coming together for the cause!
