WasteCap hosts Lunch and Learns throughout the year that are free to its members. Topics focus on construction and demolition waste management, LEED certification, TRUE Zero Waste certification, and operational waste management. If you are not yet a member of WasteCap and are interested in attending, please contact Dan Hartsig at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Construction season is about to kick into full gear. The WasteCap project management team wants to make sure you have the tools to turn waste into resources. Translation: save money when you choose to reduce, reuse, and recycle construction waste.
What works for one project won't necessarily work for the next. For example, the time and effort spent developing a tactical construction waste management plan pays off big on large projects. Projects targeting high recycling rates of 80% or more need more than commingled recycling to hit their mark. And projects with special stipulations on waste diversion, such as certification systems, can hold unforeseen pitfalls for the inexperienced contractor.
Dan Hartsig, Director of Project Management for WasteCap Resource Solutions, will share expert guidance that business owners, architects, general contractors and subcontractors can act on today to achieve their waste reduction goals.
